I’m mad at myself for not picking this up sooner. A golden retriever human cadaver dog? Sold.
The main character Mace and his dogs had me hooked from the start. The Finders was very well-developed with compelling characters. A plot that includes law enforcement working with an ordinary citizen on several cases and taking that citizen seriously was a breath of fresh air. I found myself surprised by the twist at the end and admiringly, that doesn’t happen much anymore.
I can’t wait to read the sequel, The Keepers, which comes out this summer.
